Street Thief

Street Thief is a 2006 mockumentary film that follows the life of Kaspar Carr (Malik Bader), a professional burglar living in Chicago. The film is presented as a found-footage documentary, with two filmmakers granted access to Carr's private world as he agrees to let them make a film about him. The movie showcases Carr's expertise in social engineering, stalking, and intelligence gathering, as he meticulously plans and executes his burglaries, including a dramatic break-in at a club. The film's ending leaves the audience speculating about the fate of Carr, suggesting he may have been killed in retaliation or left the Chicago area to start anew.
