Jumping Jacks

"Jumping Jacks" is a 1952 American semi-musical comedy film starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis as Hap Smith and Chick Allen, respectively. The film follows the duo as they impersonate soldiers to help a struggling US Army show, with hilarious results. In the process, Hap (Jerry Lewis) becomes a paratrooper, complete with accidental mishaps that inadvertently prove "correct military conduct." As the show's popularity grows, Hap is eventually exposed but becomes a hero, all while Dean Martin's character Chick helps keep the charade going.
