Occupant

Van Hansis as Danny Hill plays a young New Yorker about to inherit an old apartment in the 2011 American thriller film "Occupant". The film opens as an old woman dies, and her estranged grandson, Danny, comes to the rent-controlled apartment, where he is instructed to stay for 12 days by a lawyer and a doorman named Joe. As the days pass, Danny begins to suffer from cabin fever, leading to delusions and hallucinations, and strange things start to happen, including the disappearance of his cat and the arrival of a new doorman. The film ends with the lawyer arriving to inform Danny that the court order has come through, and the apartment is finally his.
