Moneyball

The film follows Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) and his deputy Peter Brand (Jonah Hill) as they assemble a competitive team on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft their players. They use sabermetrics to scout undervalued talent, often disregarding traditional methods, and acquire players like aging David Justice, injured Scott Hatteberg, and submariner Chad Bradford. Beane's unorthodox approach sparks skepticism within the baseball community, but he is driven by his determination to win, even if it means compromising on skills like base stealing and defense.
