"Moonlighting" is a 1982 British drama film set in London during the early 1980s Solidarity protests in Poland. Nowak (Jeremy Irons), a Polish master electrician, leads a team of workmen working illegally in London while dealing with the temptations of the West and loneliness from their families. As unrest in Poland leads to a military takeover, Nowak must manage his project, his men, and the increasingly dire situation, all while using his English skills as leverage over them.
