Nim's Island

A young girl finds herself stranded on a remote island with her widower father and befriends an agoraphobic author through their shared love of adventure books. As Nim tries to overcome her fear of losing her father, she helps Alexandra Rover, the neurotic author, overcome her own fears and travel to the island to assist. With the help of various native animals and a little ingenuity, they work together to save the island from becoming a tourist destination and eventually reunite with Jack, Nim's father, who has been stranded on the island for days.
