Open Range

In 1882 Montana, Charley Waite (Kevin Costner), a former Union soldier, joins forces with Boss Spearman (Robert Duvall) to protect his cattle from the ruthless rancher Denton Baxter. As tensions escalate, Charley and Boss vow to avenge their friend Mose, who was brutally beaten by Poole, the corrupt marshal of Harmonville. With the help of Percy, a livery stable owner, they ultimately defeat Baxter in a violent showdown.
