In August 2006, a family welcomes their newborn baby into their home, but what begins as a seemingly idyllic start is soon torn apart by a demonic presence that terrorizes them, leaving their perfect world in ruins and turning it into an inescapable nightmare. The family's German Shepherd, Abby, is attacked by the demon, and Kristi is possessed and dragged into the basement, where she will be held captive until her sister Katie is sacrificed to save her and their infant son Hunter. As Daniel and his daughter Ali try to uncover the truth behind the haunting, they are met with increasingly violent and inexplicable events that threaten to destroy them all.
