Ping Pong Summer

In 1985, a summer vacation in Ocean City, Maryland, sets off a chain of events that changes the life of Radford "Rad" Miracle, a shy 14-year-old who's obsessed with table tennis and hip-hop music. As he navigates his relationships with eccentric friends, including local heartthrob Stacy Summers and her ex-boyfriend Lyle Ace, Rad learns valuable lessons about loyalty, forgiveness, and finding his place in the world. With the help of his African American friend Teddy Fryy, Rad faces down bullies, finds love, and discovers his own unique identity amidst the vibrant culture and excitement of Ocean City's beach scene.
