Promised Land

A salesman for a natural gas company travels to a small town in rural Pennsylvania to persuade landowners to sign drilling rights leases that grant his employer fracking access to their farmland. The town is struggling economically and has been promised its last chance at survival by the corporation, but when an environmental advocate reveals a fabricated story about his family's farm dying due to fracking, the salesman must confront the truth behind the company's intentions. As he delves deeper into the issue, he discovers that the activist was actually hired by the corporation to discredit the environmental movement and convince the town to vote in favor of drilling rights, leading to a clash between the community's values and the corporation's profit-driven goals.
