"Puncture Wounds" is a tense and violent action-drama that follows John Nguyen, a war veteran struggling with PTSD, as he takes on a ruthless crime lord after rescuing a prostitute from a group of violent thugs. With its gritty approach and well-choreographed fight scenes, the film delivers on its promise of intense action, though not without some messy storytelling and uneven character development.
