Sang-eui-won

The film "Sang-eui-won" (2014) tells the story of a rivalry between two tailors, Jo Dol-seok and Lee Gong-jin, at the Sanguiwon, where the attire worn by royalty were made during the Joseon era. Jo Dol-seok, a commoner who rose to become the head of the Sanguiwon, denies the Queen's request to replace a burnt robe, and instead seeks to frame Lee Gong-jin, a young designer with exceptional talent, for attempting to assassinate the King. The film follows the tragic events that unfold, with Gong-jin eventually falling victim to Dol-seok's schemes.
