Di Renjie: Tongtian diguo

Detective Dee, a former detective and rebel of the Tang dynasty, is released from prison by Empress Wu Zetian to solve the mystery of a series of inexplicable murders where victims suddenly burst into flames. He is aided by Shangguan Jing'er, Wu's attendant, who is both his assistant and spy. As they investigate, they uncover a web of intrigue and deceit that leads them to the Phantom Bazaar, where they encounter Dr. Donkey Wang, a court physician with a dark secret. Detective Dee must use his skills and psychic abilities to unravel the mystery and prevent a catastrophic event that could bring about the downfall of the Tang dynasty.
