The Bishop's Wife

Bishop Henry Brougham (David Niven) has been working for months on the plans for a new cathedral, but his focus has taken a toll on his family life. Enter Dudley, an angel sent to help him (Cary Grant), who brings unexpected guidance to everyone around him. As Christmas approaches, Henry begins to feel threatened by Dudley's influence, particularly with his wife Julia (Loretta Young) and their daughter Debby. In the end, Dudley's mission is completed, and he leaves, reminding Henry that he prayed for guidance, not a physical structure.
