The Long Riders

The Long Riders tells the story of the James-Younger Gang, former Confederate bushwhackers who keep on fighting after the Civil War. The movie details the events over the next sixteen years as the gang robs banks, trains, and stagecoaches in various states, including Missouri, Kentucky, Iowa, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, West Virginia, and Minnesota. The ill-fated Northfield, Minnesota, bank robbery on the first day of hunting season September 7, 1876, is depicted in the second half of the film, as well as the events leading up to it, including the capture and eventual assassination of Jesse James.
