Scared to Death

In the 1980 director William Malone's science fiction horror film, an out-of-control bio-engineered creature called a Syngenor wreaks havoc in Los Angeles's sewer system, terrorizing the city at night. Ted Lonergan (John Stinson), a former detective turned novelist, and Sherry Carpenter (Toni Jannotta), a young woman who worked at the laboratory where the creature was created, team up to stop the monster. As they delve into the sewers, they discover the creature's lair and the horrific experiments that led to its creation. The film's climax features a desperate showdown between the duo and the deadly Syngenor.
