Daikaijû Gamera

In the Arctic, a nuclear explosion awakens Gamera, a giant prehistoric turtle. Japanese scientists, assisted by a young boy named Toshio, join the military in trying to stop Gamera's rampage. As Gamera searches for energy, it wreaks havoc over the world. Dr. Hidaka, Aoyagi, and Kyoko, along with Toshio, form a team to find a way to put an end to Gamera's attacks. The film follows their efforts, including the use of experimental freezing bombs and a plan to launch Gamera into space.
