Peacock

In the 1960s, John Skillpa (Cillian Murphy), a quiet bank clerk living alone in Peacock, Nebraska, leads a double life as Emma, his female dissociative identity, to hide his childhood trauma inflicted by his abusive mother. After a minor train accident, John is forced to reveal his secret to his neighbors, including Fanny Crill (Susan Sarandon), the wife of the town mayor, and Maggie (Elliot Page), a young mother seeking help. As the story unfolds, the boundaries between John and Emma blur, and the truth about John's past and his connection to Maggie is revealed, leading to a confrontation that threatens to expose his hidden life.
