Four stagnant high school teachers, Martin (Mads Mikkelsen), Tommy, Peter, and Nikolaj, decide to test out a theory that maintaining a constant level of intoxication will improve their overall lives. They start a group log documenting their experiences as they drink at regular intervals to maintain a blood alcohol level of 0.05%. As they find their work and private lives more enjoyable and successful, the group decides to take the experiment further, increasing their BAC minimum to 0.10% and eventually pushing the boundaries further. The experiment ultimately leads to tragic consequences, including Tommy's death by drowning after returning home incapacitated.
