Deep Cover

Russell Stevens Jr. (Laurence Fishburne) is a black police officer who applies for a special anti-drug squad in Los Angeles. He works his way up from the bottom undercover, posing as a drug dealer "John Hull," to infiltrate the network of the West Coast's largest drug importer, Anton Gallegos, and his uncle Hector Guzmán, a South American politician. As Stevens gains the trust of the targets, he becomes embroiled in a complex web of drug trafficking, murder, and corruption, leading to a violent confrontation that ultimately forces him to choose between his duty as a police officer and his own morality.
