In a dystopian future where people can buy artificial organs to extend their lives, an organization known as the Union sends agents to repossess the organs if payments are defaulted on. The best repo man in the business, Remy, becomes the recipient of an artificial heart and finds himself in the same dire straits as his many victims, forcing him to go on the run with a lounge singer he rescues from a brutal debtor. As they navigate the underground world of black market artiforgs, Remy's newfound sympathy for customers leaves him questioning his job, while his former partner rigs him into getting an artificial heart and paying off the debt that could cost him his life, setting him on a path to free all Union customers from debt.
