"Der Traumhafte Weg" (2016) is a German drama film written and directed by Angela Schanelec. The movie follows the paths of two couples, Theres and Kenneth, and Ariane and David, as they navigate love, loss, and longing over the course of three decades. Theres (Miriam Jakob) and Kenneth (Thorbjörn Björnsson) meet on holiday as young adults and fall in love, only to lose each other, while Ariane (Maren Eggert) leaves her husband David because she no longer loves him, leading her to encounter Kenneth and Theres again.
