Thirteen-year-old Jesse, played by Gabriel del Castillo Mullally, sets out to capture his surroundings with a new 35mm camera after being assigned a school project. He lives with his parents, Sabi and Tim, in the Toronto neighbourhood of Riverdale, where he becomes fascinated with his young female neighbour, Amy, after peering into her bedroom window. The film explores Jesse's journey as he navigates adolescence, including his struggles with boundaries and the concept of being a "real artist."
