Rise of the Planet of the Apes

In 2016, Will Rodman (James Franco), a chemist trying to discover a cure for his father's Alzheimer's disease, tests a viral-based drug on chimpanzees at Gen-Sys, leading to the birth of Caesar, a genetically enhanced chimpanzee with exceptional intelligence. As Caesar grows and matures under Will's care, he questions his origins and place in the world, ultimately leading an ape uprising against humanity, fueled by his desire for solidarity and freedom.
