Guy Pearce stars as Jimmy Starks, a smooth-talking salesman, in this gritty thriller that explores the themes of fate, freewill, guilt, paranoia, and doing the right thing. The film follows Starks' journey as he becomes increasingly paranoid after consulting a low-rent fortune teller (J.K. Simmons), and must come to terms with a possible catastrophic future.
