The Runaway

In rural Georgia of the 1940s, two boys, one white and one black, are prophesied by a Conjure Woman to start a change. As best friends, they grow up and uncover a discovery that prompts the town's new sheriff, Frank Richards (Dean Cain), to reopen an unsolved murder investigation. The sheriff pursues the case, determined to see justice prevail, in a story of friendship, determination, and conviction that can generate racial change.
