Entre les murs

The Class, directed by Laurent Cantet, follows François Marin (François Bégaudeau), a French language and literature teacher, as he navigates a year with his 25 students, aged 14-15, from a tough Parisian neighborhood. The film explores the challenges of teaching and the complex relationships between the teacher and his students, particularly when it comes to issues of discipline, co-operation, and cultural differences. As the year progresses, François must confront the difficulties of his students' lives, including poverty, racism, and parental struggles, all while trying to inspire and educate them.
