Strictly Sinatra

Toni Cocozza (Ian Hart), a young Glaswegian-Italian lounge singer, dreams of becoming a famous musician. He grows tired of playing to elderly crowds and accepts career help from mob enforcer Chisholm (Brian Cox) and his boss Connolly. Toni's luck runs out when his double life is discovered, and he must evade mobsters after refusing to harm a street kid. He finds escape with his friend and accompanist Bill (Alun Armstrong) and pretty cigarette girl Irene (Kelly Macdonald), who becomes his ally and love interest.
