Set against the vibrant yet dark underbelly of Tokyo's nightlife, "Tokyo Skin" follows Zhou as he navigates his 30th birthday amidst a whirlwind of designer drugs, casual encounters, and American slang. This Chinese immigrant, with a penchant for Confucius quotes and stolen goods, finds himself drawn to Kyōko, a seemingly reserved provincial woman searching for the man who jilted her sister. As Zhou's world spirals out of control, he must confront his own spiritual crisis in the midst of Tokyo's seamy subculture.
