Jennifer Aniston stars as Sarah Huttinger, who discovers her family was the inspiration for Charles Webb's novel and film "The Graduate" (1963). Her search leads her to Kevin Costner as Beau Burroughs, a prep school classmate of Webb's, with whom three generations of women from her family had an affair. Shirley MacLaine plays Sarah's grandmother Katharine Richelieu, while Mark Ruffalo portrays Jeff Daly, Sarah's fiancé and later husband.
