The Peacekeepers

The Peacekeepers follows the United Nations mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo between 2002 and 2004 as they attempt to avert a crisis similar to Rwanda in 1994. The film alternates between activity at the UN headquarters in New York and events on the ground in the DRC, where ethnic tensions, a massive influx of arms, and warlord-led militias have plagued the fragile country. Karen Feiertag serves as narrator, while Kofi Annan appears as himself.
