This Is Not a Burial, It's a Resurrection

Mantoa, an 80-year-old widow, prepares for her own funeral amidst preparations for her village's resettlement due to a reservoir construction project. However, she finds new purpose in leading resistance against the relocation and igniting a spirit of defiance among her community, led by Lesiba Player (Jerry Mofokeng Wa). The film explores rural life, tradition, and the importance of land, as Mantoa's determination inspires those around her to fight for their homeland.
