In the dusty, unforgiving landscape of 1879's Dakota Territory, a group of men embark on a perilous quest to rescue a family of settlers who have mysteriously vanished from their home. Led by Henry Victor, they soon discover that the true enemy lies not among hostile Native Americans, but beneath their feet - an ancient, subterranean horror known only as the Burrowers.
