The Creeping Terror

In the 1964 horror-science fiction film "The Creeping Terror," sheriff's deputy Martin Gordon (Vic Savage) and his wife Brett (Shannon O'Neil) investigate a reported plane crash site in Angel County, California, where they encounter an alien spacecraft with a slug-like creature that attacks and eats people. Col. James Caldwell (John Caresio), a zealous military officer, leads the investigation, which includes examining the creature and its spacecraft's analog devices. The creature stalks the countryside, attacking innocent victims, including families on a picnic at a hootenanny, until it is finally killed by Martin's police car, explained to be a mobile laboratory designed to consume human beings.
