Three separate stories set in an eerie mental asylum are framed by Dr. Henry Stenson (Malcolm McDowell), a psychiatrist treating patients with unique disorders. In "Figuratively Speaking", Gustav (John Glover) is driven mad by a psychoactive drug after being drugged by his assistant Mateo (Walter Perez). In "Monsters are Real", catatonic schizophrenia patient Steven (David Mazouz) hallucinates about a monstrous figure who kills his abusive father and Ms. Lorne, his teacher. In "Up to the Last Man", James Silo (Lou Diamond Phillips), an obsessive doomsday prepper, escapes from the sanitarium and returns to find that everything is not as he left it.
