In a stormy night of June 16, 1816, Lord Byron invites Percy and Mary Shelley to his lavish estate on Lake Geneva, Switzerland, where they spend an evening of hallucinatory revelry with Claire Clairmont and Dr. John William Polidori. The group engages in a game of hide-and-seek, reads excerpts from horror stories, and holds a séance gathered around a human skull, which inspires them to write two iconic tales: Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" and John William Polidori's "The Vampyre." As the night descends into madness, the lines between reality and apparition blur, leaving the group to confront their darkest fears and the true nature of their creative collaboration.
