Minu Leninid

In a bold and absurd scheme, young Estonian politician Aleksander Kesküla envisions a revolution using Vladimir Lenin as his key player to overthrow the Russian Empire and create a new national state of Estonia in its northeastern territories. To ensure the plan's success, five doubles are created and trained to impersonate Lenin, while Kesküla secures funding from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This historical comedy film takes creative liberties with the facts, portraying a fictionalized version of events that took place during World War I, when Lenin was indeed agitating for an end to the war, even if Russia lost it.
