Scream

In the small town of Woodsboro, California, high school student Sidney Prescott is terrorized by a masked killer who targets her and her friends as part of a deadly game that uses scary movies. Characterized by its self-aware humor and admiration of overused horror plot points, the film follows Casey Becker's (Drew Barrymore) murder on Halloween night, which sets off a series of events that lead to Sidney becoming the next target. As the bodies pile up, Sidney must navigate her relationships with her friends and family while being stalked by the Ghostface killer, who taunts her over the phone and at her school's house party.
