Fifteen years after the original Woodsboro murders, Sidney Prescott returns home to promote her new book about surviving trauma, only for a new Ghostface killer to emerge, targeting a new group of teens. The film is a satirical take on the slasher genre and social media obsession, combining violence with dark comedy and "whodunit" mystery. Sidney's return to her hometown becomes a catalyst for a new wave of murders, as Ghostface begins to target students from Woodsboro High School, leading to a thrilling game of cat and mouse that will test Sidney's survival skills once again.
