In the 2010 SyFy original horror/science fiction film "Sharktopus", Dr. Nathan Sands (Eric Roberts) and his daughter Nicole create a genetically engineered shark-octopus hybrid S-11 to test its control using electromagnetic pulses. However, during a test mission, S-11 escapes and wreaks havoc on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta, leading a team including fishermen Andy Flynn (Kerem Bürsin), Stacy Everheart (Liv Boughn), and Dr. Sands' own daughter Nicole, as they try to stop it.
