In "The Right One" (2021), writer's block-stricken novelist Sara (Cleopatra Coleman) finds inspiration in down-on-his-luck oddball Godfrey (Nick Thune), who constantly changes personas to cope with his past. As their relationship deepens, Godfrey discovers Sara has been using him as inspiration for her next novel, and he vanishes from her life. Iliza Shlesinger plays Kelly, a supporting character in the film.
