Sudden Terror

A young English boy named Ziggy, staying on Malta with his adult sister and grandfather, witnesses a shocking assassination of an African dignitary while inventing a fantasy world to alleviate boredom. Believing none will take his claim seriously due to his reputation as a habitual liar, Ziggy is pursued by the killers, but finds temporary refuge with friends who eventually help him evade capture in a tense cat-and-mouse chase across the island.
