Goin' South

In 1866, Longhorn, Texas, Jack Nicholson stars as Henry Lloyd Moon, a small-time outlaw who's captured and sentenced to hang. A strange ordinance from Civil War days allows him to escape the gallows if an unmarried lady will marry him, and Moon finds himself wedded to Julia Tate, a headstrong and genteel virgin from the Southern United States. As they navigate their marriage of convenience, Moon must confront his outlaw past and the challenges of trust and intimacy with Julia, who's hiding secrets of her own - including a lucrative gold mine beneath her property that could change their lives forever.
