In 1970s Osaka, Tome Marunishi (Meika Seri), a strong-willed young prostitute, struggles to survive alongside her mentally challenged brother and aging mother, Fumie Hirabayashi (Junko Miyashita). Yone Marunishi, their father, is portrayed by Genshū Hanayagi. The film focuses on the women's efforts to navigate hardship and find a way forward in this challenging environment.
