Soul Snatcher

In "Soul Snatcher" (2020), Chen Linong plays Wang Zijin, a guileless scholar on his way to Beijing for the imperial magistrates examination, while Li Xian stars as Bai Shisan, a wily fox demon searching for a magic pill that will grant him immortality. As they embark on their perilous journey together, Bai Shisan must fend off mythic creatures and evil spirits while navigating his growing bond with Wang Zijin. Along the way, he comes to realize that Wang's divine pill holds the key to his own transcendence, forcing him to make a choice between friendship and immortality.
