Shutter Island

In 1954, U.S. Marshal Edward "Teddy" Daniels and his new partner Chuck Aule travel to Ashecliffe Hospital for the criminally insane on Shutter Island in Boston Harbor to investigate the disappearance of a patient who had killed her three children by drowning. As Teddy delves deeper into the hospital's mysterious past, he is plagued by visions and flashbacks from his own traumatic experiences as a U.S. soldier in the liberation of Dachau. But what seems like a desperate attempt to uncover the truth may be just a fabrication of his own fractured mind.
