Side Effects

A woman turns to prescription medication as a way of handling her anxiety concerning her husband's upcoming release from prison. After her husband Martin completes a four-year prison sentence for insider trading, Bedford, New York socialite Emily Taylor drives into the wall of a parking garage in an apparent suicide attempt. Her psychiatrist, Jonathan Banks, prescribes her experimental drug Ablixa, which seems to help but gives her sleepwalking episodes as a side effect. As the negative publicity surrounding Ablixa's fall in stock value mounts, Emily is adjudicated not guilty by reason of insanity and is sent back to a psychiatric hospital, where she plots with her psychiatrist, Dr. Victoria Siebert, who has been manipulating her.
