"If It Were Love" follows fifteen young dancers from various origins as they tour Crowd, a dance piece by choreographer Gisèle Vienne about the 1990s rave scene. The film documents their work and personal relationships, blurring the line between stage and real life. Marine Chesnais plays herself in the documentary, which premiered at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival and won the award for Best Documentary from the Teddy Award program.
