A masked serial killer stalks and murders young female students at an international college in Perugia, targeting those who possess or are seen wearing black-and-red patterned scarves. As one student identifies a scarf and seeks to uncover the killer's identity, she becomes their next target, retreating to her family's remote cliffside villa with three of her girlfriends. There, they become trapped by the killer, who is revealed to be a former child victim driven by psychosexual issues, before ultimately meeting a brutal end at the hands of a determined outsider.
