The Boatniks

In this 1970 Disney comedy, a young and awkward Coast Guard Ensign named Thomas Garland navigates his way through love, bumbling jewel thieves, and life as a sailor. When he falls for pretty Kate Fairchild, manager of a local boat rental and sailing school, he must contend with his own clumsy nature and the suspicious antics of a trio of jewel thieves. As he teams up with Commander Taylor to retrieve the stolen jewels, Garland proves himself to be more capable than expected - though not without some hilarious mishaps along the way.
